2019 Pantone Color of the Year -Living Coral

Pantone announces “Living Coral” as their 2019 Color of the Year and I cannot more excited.

I do not shy away from this color. I find that shades of coral, peach and orange work so well with various color palettes. From blush tones to bold colors, it works well paired with blues, lavenders, purples, yellows or in a monochromatic designs featured in this blog.

I love that coral colors is readily available in spring, summer and fall. Some of my favorite coral blooms include: Coral Charm Peonies, regular, spray and garden roses, ranunculus, hypericum berries, tulips, zinnias, coxcomb, dahlias and more.

This gorgeous bridal session was photographed by Spotted Stills Photography. Tania looked absolutely elegant and flawless after Whitney was done pampering her. 

The bold coral charm peonies in Tania’s bouquet, absolutely popped against her gown.

While the hair flowers were more muted with blush pink/peach tones and foliage, looking quite elegant on her classic hair updo. 

Bridal bouquet included coral charm peonies, roses, blueberries, scented geranium, huckleberry, seeded and willow eucalyptus.

Portland Maternity Lifestyle Photo Shoot featuring our Floral Crown

Jenn with Spotted Stills Photography does a fabulous job capturing our floral designs on her clients. In this case, this classy maternity shoot for a beautiful mama to be.

This spring design featured peachy-pink spray roses, pieris and mini succulents right from my yard.

Celebrating 10 Years of Marriage and Flowers

Its not often that I get out of my comfort zone and get in front of the camera, especially featuring my own floral designs. But to commemorate 10 years in the business as well as 10 years of being married to my wonderful husband; who is my rock and I could not do what I do with out his full support and encouragement. We decided to do a photo shoot with one of my favorite photographers Jenn from Spotted Stills Photography.

This was a perfect way to celebrate our marriage and floral design together in one. We are lucky to live right down the road from this nature park, a perfect spot for a mini photo shoot. This being Oregon, it started to sprinkle during our shoot; but we did not let the rain stop us.

A huge shout out to Janelle from The Prettiest You/Contoured Salon for fitting me in at the last minute for make up. Its always a pleasure to work with you.

I loved my dress by LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls, it was very stylish and comfy.

My bouquet and floral crown featured some of my favorite blooms in mauve, blush pink, peach and gray tones. Blushing Bride Protea, Astrantia, Pieris, Spray Roses, Carnations and Dusty Miller from my own yard.

Modern wrist corsages for weddings and special occasions

Forget about the old high school wrist corsages full of bling, tulle and spray paint. There are countless options when it comes to beautiful and modern wrist corsages.

I really enjoy designing wrist corsages; they are tiny little master pieces. Very intricate, detailed and full of unexpected textures. The sky is the limit when it comes to flowers to wear.

This ribbon tied wrist corsage features red piano garden roses, willow eucalyptus and pieris japonica

I loved creating this delicate yellow and gray wedding wrist corsage with orchids, hypericum, craspedia {billy balls}, dusty miller, silver brunia and plumosa

Gray, plum purple and orange wrist corsage features pincushion protea, berzellia berries, scabiosa pods, hypericum and plum purple sweet peas.

I absolutely adore plum purple anemones and this simple yet elegant sage ribbon wrist corsage was stunning

This is my most favorite color of ranunculus and paired with all this texture made it absolutely pop. Rose hips, blackberries, nigella pods, dusty miller, seeded eucalyptus and astrantia

I absolutely love creating flowers for the hair. Fresh floral combs are especially exciting to design since they are usually worn by the Bride herself.  

This garden style floral comb features ranunculus, jasmine vine, privet berry, string of pearls, eucalyptus, eryngium and gray brunia berries.

Going right along, this is Flower Crowns -part 3 of 5. Truly so many amazing options out where when it comes to flowers for your hair.

This floral crown is one of my personal favorites. Its small and dainty, yet very intricate and detailed. It features nigella pods, piers, ilex berry, succulents, plumosa, string of pearls and straw flower.

This lovely purple floral crown was designed for a June wedding. It consists of lavender, chrysanthemums, mini roses, eryngium, blueberries, nigella pods, seeded eucalyptus and plumosa fern.

This rustic/country themed flower girl floral crown is designed with two types of feverfew daisies.

Continuing on with part 2 of 5 on gorgeous floral crowns. I really enjoy designing those pieces. They can be small, delicate and casual or large, elaborate and truly a show stopper! There is no end to creativity.

Floral Crowns are the perfect accessory for girls of all ages. 

They are so popular and I have created them for weddings, photo shoots, maternity photos, bridal showers, Birthdays, Proposals and many other special occasions. 

I have quite a few to share, so I will make several blog posts to feature crowns. This is Part 1 of 5.
